"LIA-Leipzig International Art Programme" invites to a lecture about contemporary 
photoraphy in Japan in the newly-opened studios in hall 18 on the Spinneri area. 
 
We present:
 
Madoka Suehiro: „Kommunikation mittels Fotografien seit 1990 in Japan:
Masafumi Sanai, Girly Photographers, Kayo Ume.“
 
In the exhibition „Passage to the Future: Art from a New Generation in
Japan“ you can see photographs of Masafumi Sanai (*1968). Diary like snapshots 
like those of Sanai have become an important gengre in the 1990s in Japan. The 
photographs want to disclose the reasons of photo-booms like the "Sanai-Boom".
