Creative Industries have recently begun to attract great interest.
Almost every federal state and several large cities have established
reports of Creative Industries – in Saxony the first report is expected
to be released in autumn. By now the branch is considered as an
important location factor and is increasingly focused by economy and
cultural politics. In March the federal state Berlin has after all allocated
30 million Euro venture capital to advance the Creative Industries.
With that high hopes a question appears: what are Creative Industries
able to achieve? Where could and where must policy support? What
should be avoided?
This is discussed by:
Anna-Louise Kratzsch, cultural manager, programme director of LIA
Jan Hartmann, Designer, founder of Designer’s Open
Michael Weichert, counsillor of Leipzig and economic-political announcer
of the group Bündnis 90/Die Grünen in the parliament of Saxony
Dr. Bastian Lange, Leibniz-Institut für Länderkunde Leipzig,
Moderation: Dr. Karl-Heinz Gerstenberg, cultural-political announcer of
the group Bündnis 90/Die Grünen in the parliament of Saxony
